themselves. To help meet the needs of facilities faced
with testing the latest equipment, CCX Technologies
announced it is adding GPS Signal Generator and VHF
Digital Link Mode 2 capabilities to its T-RX Avionics
Radio and Pulse Testers. The company said the new
capabilities were developed in response to user requests.
CCX Technologies' T-RX Avionics Radio products are
upgradeable touch-screen tablets used to test avionics
radios. The new GPS Signal Generator capabilities allow
avionics technicians and maintainers to generate GPS
signals with a specified position and track, which can be
fundamental when testing GPS navigators. Meanwhile,
the VDL testing capability addresses both receiving and
transmitting functions of critical functions like cockpitcontroller data link communications. According to the
company, the T-RX's new capabilities ensure the testing
capabilities are easily accessed without the need to
acquire and maintain another new piece of hardware.
"With mandates fast approaching and operators
expecting the highest standards of aircraft maintenance,
we are optimistic that maintainers and techs will
appreciate the ease with which they can add these new
tests to their T-RX," Chris Bartlett, CCX Technologies
president, said. "Several users have told us that being
able to do the majority of their avionics radio testing
with a single device will help save them time and effort."

Cobham Aerospace Connectivity
Audio communications aboard the typical general
aviation aircraft requires relatively simple equipment.
But when that aircraft is involved in special missions
like law enforcement, emergency medical services or
firefighting, there can be many more communication
sources clamoring for the crew's attention, creating
demand for advanced solutions to help manage a
broad range of mission participants. Enter the audiomanagement avionics product category, and one of
its latest entrants, the Titan series, from Cobham
Aerospace Connectivity.
The Titan series of digital aircraft audio management
products for light-to-medium rotary and fixed-wing
aircraft is designed to help operators meet the demand
of tactical missions while maintaining expected
levels of connectivity and capability. Titan builds on
Cobham's Digital Audio Communications System
and targets the special-mission avionics market for
aircraft like the Airbus H125 and the Cessna Caravan.
According to the company, the new Titan series meets
the challenge of a capable audio management system
with a compact profile and significant weight savings.
Cobham's Titan also builds in extensive configuration
options, reducing needs for multiple part numbers. The
system includes Bluetooth capability, enabling the crew
to take telephone calls, while its spatially separated
audio can enhance a crew's ability to distinguish
conversations on different radios.
"Titan brings helicopter and turboprop connectivity
into the 21st century, providing their crews with
the modern functionality that they are used to
outside aviation and reflecting the requirements for
multichannel audio management systems to cope with
tactical missions," Mickeal Daw, product line manager
