Metro Aviation
METRO AVIATION delivered the first of two EC145e
aircraft to HealthNet Aeromedical Services, a statewide
hospital-based program headquartered in Charleston,
West Virginia. HealthNet is adding an IFR-equipped Airbus
EC145e to its fleet. The aircraft will enter service later this
month in support of Charleston Area Medical Center. This
is the 11th HealthNet interior completed by Metro Aviation.
"HealthNet Aeromedical Services values its decadeslong partnership with Metro Aviation for completion services on our twin-engine aircraft and with Airbus for our entire
fleet of helicopters," said HealthNet Aeromedical Services
President and CEO Clinton Burley. "These relationships
are built on mutual respect and a crystal-clear focus on
operational safety and the clinical needs of the patients we
serve."

relationships you build," said Metro Aviation President and
CEO Mike Stanberry. "One of the relationships we are
most proud of is the one we've developed with Clinton
Burley and HealthNet Aeromedical Services. They are
frontrunners in everything they do, and we are proud to be
a small part of it."
Metro completed the aircraft at its Shreveport,
Louisiana, headquarters, equipping the EC145e with
a Metro Aviation medical interior. The aircraft is also
equipped with the Genesys Aerosystems IFR platform with
HeliSAS/EFIS technology and three-axis autopilot.
Ahead of the first aircraft entering service, HealthNet
has signed an agreement to purchase a second EC145e,
to be delivered in 2021. That aircraft will replace the
program's current EC145 serving its Morgantown, West
Virginia, base that supports WVU Medicine. The aircraft's
improved capabilities will greatly enhance the hospital's
ability to transport ECMO, pediatric, and other specialty
patients.
The EC145e will join HealthNet Aeromedical Services'
current Airbus-exclusive fleet, consisting of two EC145s,
five EC135s, and four EC130s.

LATITUDE TECHNOLOGIES announced that its

Operational Loads Monitoring System and Air Tanker
Information System for aerial firefighting aircraft have
been selected as factory OEM options on Viking Air
Limited's CL-415EAF "Enhanced Aerial Firefighter"
amphibious aircraft.
According to the company, the endorsement by Viking
allows CL-415EAF "Enhanced Aerial Firefighter" customers the ability to select Latitude's Operational Loads
Monitoring System and Air Tanker Information System at
the time of purchase. Both of these options were selected
by CL-415EAF launch customer Bridger Aerospace.
Latitude's ATIS offers a fully-compliant aircraft-certified
solution that meets governmental requirements including
those of the United States Forestry Service. The USFS
has listed Latitude's ATIS solution as a recommended
option for those applying to government-tendered contracts for aerial firefighting. Enabled by Latitude's IONode
and SkyNode satellite communications devices, ATIS
allows operators, agencies, and regulators to visualize aerial fire attack data with detailed reporting such as
drops per hour and volume per attack.
According to the company, Latitude's OLMS offers operators USFS compliance through data collection and recording over the duration of aerial firefighting missions. In addition, it leverages the Latitude Flight Data Analytics Flight
Data Monitoring platform to support mission/incident investigation to improve training and monitor standard operating
procedure compliance. This web-based software allows
multiple users within an organization to view flight data and
generated events for analysis critical for safety. Latitude's
OLMS will enable Bridger Aerospace' Flight Operations
team to playback flights and evaluate key performance indicators such as airspeed and point of retardant release.
Maintenance teams will also be able to monitor the
health of the aircraft remotely and receive alerts for
exceedance events enabling proactive inspection and
reducing AOG times.
