Board of Trustee member Hoot Gibson, '73,
pictured (left) in the KNBU-FM radio station, had
a great student experience at Baker University.
In his words, Baker gave him lifelong friendships
and a quality education, and it helped him grow
both personally and professionally.

But it wasn't until his daughter, Emily Gibson, '11, came to
Baker that his experience came full circle. Emily, (top right)
who earned NAIA Honorable Mention All-American honors
while playing basketball, was inducted into the Baker
Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016 and, following in her father's
university footsteps, sits on the Baker University Alumni
Advisory Council.
By naming Baker University in their will, the Gibsons will
provide opportunities for future students like their daughter,
Emily. You too can leave a family legacy at Baker University
