Tanner
Tanner, Baker's
25th president, was
a lifelong educator
and active member
in his community. He served as president of two
universities: his alma mater, Birmingham-Southern College, as well as
Baker University. After leaving the
president's post at Baker, he served
in the Kansas House of Representatives, chairing the House Education Committee. Tanner's family is
directing memorial contributions to
establish the Dr. Ralph M. Tanner Endowed Scholarship to honor him and
his dedication to higher education.

The Baker University Alumni Association
sponsors many social events throughout the
year. In October, the Boulevard Brewery was
packed with Wildcats enjoying the company of
their former classmates. These events are a great
chance to catch up with friends and do a little
networking. The best part? The proceeds
from the door went straight to the Baker Fund for
Student Scholarships. Be on the lookout for more
events this spring and summer.

Dr. Jerald C.
Walker
Walker, Baker's
24th president, led
the university from
1974-1979 before
moving to his career
post as president of Oklahoma City
University, where he would become
OCU's longest-serving president.
Walker was an accomplished leader
in the faith of the United Methodist Church and multiple academic
communities.

We also honor our veterans
who are no longer with us.
