operating procedures and regulations, and contact information. If you would like your department or institution featured, email editor@spnhc.org and follow the format in this

The anticipated publication date for the book Preventive Conservation: Collection Storage is late 2017. The estimated cost
of the 30 chapter book with over 60 contributing authors is
$95. To ensure this purchase price, you may pre-order a copy
at editor@spnhc.org or Collection-Storage@conservation-us.

As always, I thank the Associate Editors of Collection Forum
(Matt Brown, Yemisi Dare, Alana Gishlick, Janet Waddington), the SPNHC Connection team (Liath Appleton, Katie
McComas, Lori Schlenker, Lynn Jones, Ann Pinzl), Leaflets
Editor Mari Roberts and membership online access assistant Sarah Ketelson for their extraordinary efforts. It takes a
great deal of continued effort and dedication to produce these
publications and could not be done without the contribution
of everyone. I also thank the reviewers, who also take their
time to help us publish high-quality content. I am sad to see
Alana step down as AE but am happy to introduce Mariana
Di Giacomo to the Associate Editor team.

Web Committee
Following the disappointment of having
our new website project cancelled last
spring, the Web Committee met June
20, 2017, in Denver, to discuss how to
make improvements and work with the
SPNHC website in its current configuration. The WordPress job opportunities
board has been doing well, and new
followers subscribe every month. We
will continue to use this site to post
job opportunities, as well as important
news and events information. If you
haven't seen it yet, check it out! https://
spnhcnews.wordpress.com/ or go to
http://www.spnhc.org/ and click the
News & Events tab. We also are looking
forward to working with Best Practices
to improve their web presence within the framework of the
SPNHC wiki (http://spnhc.biowikifarm.net/wiki).
After the committee meeting, an ad-hoc meeting took place
between Liath Appleton, Ann Molineux, Ruth O'Leary and
Linda Ford, concerning the possiblity of renewing our plans
to create a new SPNHC website in the future. The Web Committee will be looking into the possibility at some point next
year.
Please feel free to contact us with your suggestions, job postings and calendar events at webmaster@spnhc.org.

Christine Johnson, Chair
