The American Association of Crop Insurers (AACI) is a not-for-profit organization designed to serve insurance companies,
agencies, reinsurance companies and brokers
within the Federal crop insurance program.
The organization has been around since the
creation of the Federal Crop Insurance Act of
1980 and has served the industry as an effective Washington voice ever since.
AACI's mission is to "provide lobbying for
the crop insurance industry where members
exercise First Amendment to the Constitution
rights by communicating in a united voice
with Congress and the Executive branch."
The trade association has helped expand
Federal Crop Insurance protection for Amer-
provides support and membership services to
crop insurance and reinsurance companies.
CIRB members provide "a vital component of
the farm safety net, writing policies in every
state and providing billions of dollars in crop
protection."
CIRB is based out of Washington, D.C.
and their full membership includes direct
writers, reinsurance companies, and reinsurance brokerage groups.
With the help of a driven and knowledgeable board of directors, CIRB offers the following services to their members:
* Legislative and regulatory advocacy, technical expertise, and monitoring;
* Information and knowledge collection
and distribution;
* Networking and peer engagement;
* Issue development and positioning; and,
* Public communications.
"CIRB works closely with a broad alliance
of farmers and ranchers, lenders, input suppliers and processors, crop insurance and reinsurance organizations to engage to protect
crop insurance," said CIRB Executive Vice
President Michael Torrey. "We sincerely thank
our coalition partners-as well as House and
Senate leaders-for their monumental efforts
throughout the budget debate to make crop
insurance whole again."

ican farmers, ranchers and growers, and the
expansions made have significantly impacted
public policy, as well as savings for taxpayers
throughout the years.
AACI was a leader in the formation of a
coalition with conservation and wildlife organizations to help defend Federal crop insurance against budget cuts in the 2014 Farm
Bill. Additionally, AACI has worked closely
with various commodity and farm organizations to persuade Congress to place "greater
reliance on crop insurance to provide increasingly efficient and effective risk management
tools to farmers, while helping stabilize and
grow rural economies."
AACI President and Secretary, David
Graves, stated "AACI has been at the forefront
of activities that helped defend and grow this
program. Like maintaining the largest and
most active political action committee and
helping organize even newer and broader
coalitions that are absolutely necessary to defend the program going forward."
"Since the beginning, NCIS' focus has
been to provide exceptional service and crop
insurance expertise to our members," explained NCIS President, Tom Zacharias. "It
is also paramount that the general public and
American taxpayers understand the importance of crop insurance and the valuable risk
management tool this industry provides to
farmers and ranchers."

Association n CIPA
The Crop Insurance Professionals Association (CIPA) is a national organization of
agents who are committed to maintaining and
strengthening the safety net for the American
farmer and rancher through a strong Federal
Crop Insurance Program. With all the uncertainty in today's economic climate, coupled
with the volatility of the weather, commodity
prices, and input costs, the importance of effective risk management tools for the American farmer and rancher is greater now more
than ever. CIPA members, with the help of its
affiliated companies and industry representatives, work to help producers manage and
minimize the impact of these uncertainties on
the bottom line.
The objective of CIPA is to maintain and
strengthen the Federal Crop Insurance Program to ensure that farmers and ranchers have
the risk management tools that they need to
succeed, in part, by ensuring a strong delivery
