These dolls represent Dolley and President James Madison.
The Dolley Madison dolls have wonderful hand-painted hair and details.
These cloth labels are
stitched on James and
Dolley Madison.
After the success of the character dolls and the dolls imported from other nations, the company began to make
the "Presidents" doll line. All of the dolls were sold at trade shows and through the Doll Talk magazine.
The magazine had current Kimport doll information, dolls for sale and a fan page for their buyers to have an
outlet to discuss doll issues of the day. Also called "Doll Chat" at one time.
The majority of the dolls were imported from other countries and sold with a Kimport label. The Presidents
dolls were "hand crafted" dolls sold with a Kimcraft doll label sewn onto the outside of the dolls clothing. The
early Presidents and First Ladies dolls had a sticker label. After time those labels fell off so the hand sewn labels
were added to insure no loss of the labels after that issue.

bride, Frances Folsom.
