The crepe machine is shown in operation creating
printed crepe. It was a giant of a machine at the
Dennison factory in Framingham, Massachusetts.
Factory workers are shown packaging crepe as it comes off the
machine during the 1920s. The machine would cut and fold the
crepe into 10-foot lengths.
Fringed flapper girls costumed in crepe are rehearsing for a play.
The Service Bureau was the foundation for each of the
stores craft departments. They taught the public with instore demonstrations. On a weekly basis the store would
receive a bundle of new designs along with a recipe of
required materials.
