grand celebration was held by the Fort Collins China Doll Club of
Colorado, commemorating the 50th year of their UFDC Membership.
The club was organized in March 1966. The celebration was held at
Canino's Italian Restaurant, a beautifully restored Victorian home. The
festivities commenced with a welcome from President Betty Stewart,
followed by a delicious luncheon. The room was resplendent with
beautiful roses courtesy of Cheris St. John and party favors provided by
members, which set the stage for a festive, fun-filled afternoon. Numbers
were drawn for a plethora of door prizes and members enjoyed choosing
from many wonderful donated items.
Each member received special gifts. One special gift was a petite
china doll, dressed and presented in a small room box. Nancy Yates
made and donated the dolls and Rhonda Cooley made the room boxes. Special Award Recipients: Top Row
Another gift, "Rhymes with Dolls," was a charming collection of poetry (L to R) - Phyllis Ubico, Protection and
compiled and gifted by Phyllis Ubico. As yet another gift, Betty Stewart Preservation of Dolls Award Barbara King,

Our luncheon was followed with a program highlighting the club's

Yates. Special thanks and appreciation goes out to the committee who put it all together: Rhonda Cooley, Cheris
St. John, Phyllis Ubico, and Betty Stewart. It was an event that will be held in our memories for a long time.
