T Resume of Minutes of the 67th Annual Meeting UFDC Washington, D.C. Friday, July29, 2016 he 67th Annual Meeting of the United Federation of Doll Clubs, Inc., a Missouri not-for-proﬁt corporation, was held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Washington Hilton, Washington, D. C. Janet Gula, President of the Corporation, acted as Chairperson of the meeting. Maryll Goldsmith, Secretary-Treasurer of the Corporation, acted as Secretary. President Janet Gula called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m. (Eastern Daylight Time). Michael Furman, Credentials Chairperson, reported that the credentials were in order for 176 accredited clubs, 223 delegates and 14 voting alternates plus 20 members of the Board of Directors for a voting strength of 257. The motion that the role of delegates, voting alternates and Board Members submitted be the ofﬁcial role of the voting members of the Convention was unanimously approved. Motion made by Maryll Goldsmith The President declared a quorum present and the voting body was established. Parliamentarian Julia Furman read the Standing Rules of the Annual Meeting. Sharon Zerkel, Chairperson of the 2016 Nominating Committee, presented the Committee's unanimously recommended slate of Regional Directors: Director Region 1 - Susan Wells Director Region 5 - Linda Beu Director Region 6 - Linda Wall 170 FALL 2016 Director Region 8 - Becky DeBruler Director Region 15 - Susan Voake The President appointed the tellers for the elections. The Chair appointed Glenda Ridgeway as Chairman of Tellers, and four teams of tellers. The following Regional Directors were elected to serve for the term 2016-2019: Region 1 .............................................................. Susan Voake The President announced the appointment of Martha Simmons as Chairperson of the 2017 Nominating Committee. Patricia Girbach Region 16 ..........................................................Norah Stoner President Janet Gula reminded the members that voting members attending the 68th annual business meeting in Orlando, Florida will be electing Ofﬁcers and Regional Directors from Regions 3, 4, 10, 11, 12 and 16. Any active club member interested in being considered by the 2017 Nominating Committee must declare by August 31, 2016. The process and declaration form was published in the summer issue of DOLL NEWS. President Janet Gula noted there was an error on that page in the summer issue of Doll News and that the corrected form is in the on-line version and also available from headquarters. Plaques and hangers honoring individuals who completed their terms of ofﬁce or appointed positions were presented and newly elected Regional Directors were introduced. Director of Convention Services Barbara Stone extended an invitation to members to attend the 68th UFDC Annual Convention, Une Journée de la Poupée (A Day in the Life of a Doll), August 2 - 5, 2017 at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, FL. There being no further business, the 67th Annual Business Meeting of the United Federation of Doll Clubs was adjourned sine die at 10:47 a.m. (Eastern Daylight Time).
