mache head boasts a fashionable yet middle class wardrobe of a young lady who was expected to engage in
activities where an apron could be both a decorative and functional item. As keen observers of these dolls will note,
for the one-hundred-year period covered by this display aprons (and their cousins, smocks) were key items in any
well-dressed doll's wardrobe. The same would hold true for the wardrobes of their little mothers. Katz Collection
