These "Fluffy" dolls, dressed in "Girl Scout" and "Campfire" uniforms, are two more examples of the 8-1/2 "Fluffy" dolls from 1965. This "Fluffy" is wearing a pretty party dress with original matching flowered accessory in her hair. She measures 11 inches. Effanbee also made a doll that was named "Katie Fluffy" or "Katy Fluffy" that had molded and painted light brown curls rather than the rooted hair. These characteristics, of course, gave her a very different look so she is not readily perceived as a "Fluffy" doll. She had blue sleep eyes and molded lashes. "Katie Fluffy" had a closed mouth and straight legs with dimpled knees. She was 8-1/2 inches tall-the same size as "Tiny Fluffy." Even though she was referred to as "Katie Fluffy" she was marked on the back of her neck only "Effanbee/Fluffy." Among the many dolls that Effanbee manufactured during this time period was a set of dolls named, "Most Happy Family," which was produced from 1957 through 1959. In this set there was a mother, her little boy and girl, and a baby. The little boy was an Effanbee "Mickey" doll who was referred to as "the all-American boy." Effanbee used their 1957 20-inch Lawrence Welk "Champagne Lady" doll as the mother for this set. "Fluffy" was the little girl. 102 Summer 2017
