The 11-inch "Fluffy Bluebird Campfire Doll" is wearing a different original hat. This doll retains her original Effanbee wrist tag. Pretty in her polka dot dress and apron with original paper wrist tag is this excellent "Fluffy" in unplayed with condition. (Courtesy of Theriault's) Since Effanbee's "Fluffy" was a significant doll we wonder why she has not been more recognizable by collectors. Also, it is somewhat surprising that many doll reference books include little information, if any, about "Fluffy." She is not nearly as well known as some of the other small dolls such as "Ginny" and "Muffy." However in the 1950s and 1960s Effanbee's "Fluffy," with her sweet little captivating face and charming outfits, was very special to many little girls. DOLL NEWS * ufdc.org 103http://ufdc.org
