T Time After Time Doll Club he Time After Time Doll Club hosted three events last year promoting doll collections. The first was the Salvation Army Tea where they presented an exhibit of Gail Wilson dolls from the Janet Washer collection and French fashion dolls and related items from the Julia Baker-Leber collection. Santa and Mrs. Claus made a visit to the tea. The second project benefited Samaritan's Purse and involved club members filling 11 plastic shoe boxes for children of the world. They used plastic so the children could use the box for hauling water or where needed. Members had fun doing this project for the children, putting in toys, journals, hard candy, jewelry, and more. Each member selected what they wanted in their individual box. This was the second year they have been involved in this project and encourage others to get involved Just visualize the happy, smiling faces of all these children. Their last activity was working with Girl Scouts and Brownies to help them learn about dolls and who made them. They got to dress a little doll of their own and earn a doll badge. Maybe some of these girls will be future members and leaders of a doll club! Time After Time Doll Club enjoyed participating in these projects. It brings warm smiles and joy when people see their dolls on display. According to Baker-Leber, these small projects are good for doll clubs and the people who see their dolls. She hopes that it will spark new interest in checking out a doll club in their own area. Members of the Time After Time Doll Club worked on the Samaritan's Purse project.
