This set and photo were used by the New York Times author Ann Carrns for her article "An Excuse to Splurge on My Girls." Top right - 17-inch "Elise" No. 1750 pink pleated gown alternating lace and sequin bodice. This doll was used for the "Elise Takes A Trip." F.A.O. Schwarz sold the doll as "Elise Débutante." Bottom left - Mnt-in-box "Elise" blue ball gown with an F.A.O. Schwarz sticker. This was also used for an F.A.O. Schwarz Marlo Thomas trunk set. Bottom right - "Elise" cocktail dress with a tiered lace skirt, rose velvet bodice and rose accent at the waist. Dress was sold separately by F.A.O.
