Here are three different examples of "Felix the Cat" in four-inch and nineinch sizes made through Schoenhut and marked patented 1925 along with Cameo's 10-inch version with a rubber head from circa 1928. This 10-inch "Felix the Cat" from the Cameo Company is probably the 1928 version referred to in many books and, in this case, has a full rubber head. Left: "Felix the Cat," in a nine-inch version, was also manufactured through Schoenhut. The markings are on his foot. "Felix the Cat" is the popular comic character created by Pat Sullivan and first manufactured through Schoenhut in June 1925. This doll (right) measures four inches. He was also made in three-inch size with leather ears. Above, a large 13-inch "Felix the Cat" is attributed to Joseph Kallus. He is all-composition, very rare. and was used in one of the earliest television transmissions in the 1920s. DOLL NEWS * uFDc.Org 129http://www.uFDc.Org
