Armand Marseille. The resemblance between the dolls
is undeniable. "Phillip," although charming lacks the
realistic character look of the earlier numbers. Model
115 has lovely molded hair and sleep eyes, and is
harder to find than the 115A, a wigged version. The
doll can be found as a toddler, child or baby with the
toddler being the most sought after.
Model 116 and 116A takes us even further away
from the notion of a character doll and has more of
an idealized baby face. The model 116 is harder to
find in the painted-hair version. The 116A is wigged.

This doll is found with an open mouth and two
upper teeth or with an open/closed mouth and
molded teeth.
Finally with the 117 and 117A known as the
"Mein Liebling" (my darling) there is a mixture of
the traditional doll and the character head. This is
the final nod to the movement that began in 1908
with so much promise and artistry! There is only
a very subtle difference between the 117 and 117A
with the former being more of an older child having
the smaller mouth and rounder eyes. The 117n is
