The German character doll display included a pair of rare Munich Art Dolls. Above: Club member Claudia Greson had a booth filled with dolls, lace and clothing. Right: Club member Becky Prather is ready to assist guests in her sales booth. A twin pair of German character dolls by Ernst Heubach, seem to enjoy taking part in the event as much as the guests. The luncheon souvenir was a charming figurine of a little girl holding a doll, by Bob Severns of "Two Spirit Dolls," sculpted from an original antique in his personal collection. Bob also contributed the table centerpieces, a small all-bisque reproduction "Elise" German character doll, which were won by guests with matching table numbers. Many helpers were donated by club members and many winners took home memorable treasures. The event closed with the distribution of the souvenir figurines, along with a print of the souvenir paper doll, "German Character Dolls," by Kathy Mears Monier. UFDC Region 5 Director Linda Beu (center) enjoys a moment with guests seated at her table. DOLL NEWS * ufdc.org 163http://www.ufDc.Org
