INSTRUCTIONS: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Cut out dress front, dress back and sleeves from dress fabric, matching stripes if your fabric has a stripe. Tape lower sections of dress and lining together as indicated on the pattern pieces. Cut notches and mark insertion lace application on both fronts. Place pins through the pattern to both sides of the fabric, then lightly mark the pin entry with the "Pilot Frixion" pen. The pen marks disappear with the heat of an iron. Be sure to test the pen on your fabric before use. Sew fronts to backs at underarm seam. Finger-press open. If you use the iron you will probably need to remark for insertion lace placement as heat from the iron will remove your markings. Cut two 15 ½-inch pieces of a pretty ½ -inch insertion lace. Fold in half, RT side to RT sides. Mark up ¾ -inch from the corner at the fold and stitch to corner. Clip to corner, press open and trim away close to stitching. This forms your miters for the front trim. Press open. Set insertion at the marked dots and pin in place (picture on following page). Hand-stitch in place with invisible stitches. Press on the back side to remove the Frixion pen marks. Stitch center back seam. DOLL NEWS * ufDc.Org 25http://www.ufDc.Org
