He is the carrier of all the seeds used by the Zuni. In the dance there are many "Shalako" katsinas and are usually nine-feet tall. This doll was probably from a home altar and is not usually carved for sale. ca. 1940s or earlier Here are examples of Zuni katsina dolls distributed during a Zuni "Shalako" dance.
