The young Frankie poses with her dear doll along with Frankie's sister with her matching doll. The doll has an early Arizona connection, still wearing her original bright red silk dress. It is iimportant to note that shades in early black and white photography do not indicate the true color of an object. At first glance, one might think the doll was dressed in dark gray or green. The bright red certainly comes as a surprise. The Arizona Doll and Toy Museum is a volunteer-run "gem," a true labor of love from all who are associated with it. Many of the local valley doll clubs are proud to help support the museum. Along with the permanent and changing exhibits, the museum also has a gift shop, complete with an extensive collection of out-of-print and hard-to-find antique and modern doll books for sale.
