JP: In your early practice years, were there any
mentors who helped you get going?
KO: In my early years of practice, I was heavily
influenced by Dr. Kent Goldade and Dr. Todd LeeKnight. I worked with both to build my practices.
JP: Are you involved in other healthcare associations?
KO: I am privileged to be an examiner for the
RCDC in Canada. The RCDC is the certifying exam
for all orthodontists who wish to be licensed in
the country. Creating a new exam every year can
be a daunting task, but I am lucky to be a part of
such an amazing group.
JP: Have you taken the ABO?
KO: I have not completed the ABO process, but I
did finish the Canadian equivalent and I am a fellow in the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
JP: Are you a member of the Angle Society?

senting my first cases in January 2018. I really
enjoyed my first meeting, and I'm looking forward to becoming more involved with this dedicated group of colleagues.
JP: Would you like to talk about other kinds of
achievement?
KO: I have an interest in aviation, and I finished
my private pilot's license while in dental school.
JP: Do you currently teach?
KO: I taught undergraduate orthodontics at the
University of Saskatchewan from 2005 to 2008.
JP: Outside of your professional activities, what
do you enjoy doing?
KO: I play basketball in a competitive league, and
in the summer I play slow pitch. Lately I have
picked up target shooting with rifles and shotguns and have also developed an interest in
sailing. Above everything, I love to spend time
travelling with my young family.
KO: In January of 2017, I attended my first-ever
Northwest Angle Society meeting as a special
guest. I plan on beginning the process by pre-
