Case Report Upon removal of the Twin Force Bite Corrector, supplemental elastics were used to obtain final occlusion. The patient was debonded after a total of 26 months of treatment. She received a mandibular fixed canine-to-canine retainer, as well as maxillary and mandibular Essix retainers. She was told to wear the Essix retainers full-time for the first six months, and to then switch to nighttime-only wear. Treatment Results Bilateral Class I canine and molar relationships were achieved, with an improved overjet and overbite. The crossbite was corrected and the maxillary and mandibular crowding was resolved. The curve of Spee was leveled and the midlines were made coincident. The patient's soft tissue profile and overall facial harmony was improved, with greater lip projection relative to the E-line. Overall, the patient's maxillary molars were moved distally and the mandibular molars were slightly moved mesially. Her maxillary and mandibular incisors were proclined to alleviate crowding; proclination of her mandibular incisors was minimized with the aid of the TADs for indirect anchorage. Her maxillary molars intruded slightly from use of the Twin Force Bite Corrector, and the mandibular molars extruded slightly from the use of intermaxillary elastics. The final panoramic radiograph shows that the overall root alignment is parallel. The patient was referred back to her general dentist for an evaluation to decide whether restorations on the maxillary central incisors should be redone for better color match.
