In what year did you graduate from your postgraduate orthodontic program, and how many
years have you been in practice?
I graduated in 2013 from the amazing orthodontic program at Loma Linda University. I bought
part of a practice that was then owned by my
father, Dr. Rob Caskey, and our long-time friend,
Dr. Eric Peterson. The three of us have been in
practice together ever since. We honestly have
an amazing partnership!

Where are your current practice and primary
office/practice located?
I am lucky and blessed to live and practice in the
beautiful mountain town of Flagstaff, AZ. We are
30 minutes north of the famous Sedona Red
Rocks and an hour south of Grand Canyon
National Park.
Tell us about your office.
Our office is in the historic downtown of
Flagstaff. It's a fabulous location that I can easily
bike to from my house when there's not snow on
the ground, and it's right across the street from
my old high school (Go, Eagles!). Flagstaff is a
very outdoorsy town and we are all hiking, biking,
skiing, and running enthusiasts, so we chose an
outdoor/adventure sports theme for our office.
We have furniture made of skis and snowboards,
a bike and kayak hanging from the ceiling, and
a tent, backpacks, and ice picks decorating the
treatment area - you get the idea! We absolutely
love where we live and work, and I think the
office reflects that.

What systems/techniques have worked well for
you in private practice (TADs, indirect vs. direct
bonding, 3-D imaging, etc.)?
We three doctors keep our systems and
approaches very similar, which really helps the
staff. The best thing we have done for our office
since I have been there has to do with staff roles:
we created a full-time treatment coordinator
position and a full-time financial coordinator
position. We gave them both their own offices.
This is in addition to our full-time schedule coordinator and two regular front desk team members. We also assigned our community events
coordination to one specific person because we
are getting more requests for sponsorships and
invitations to have a presence at local events
every year - which is awesome! We typed up
clear expectations for each role and handed
them out. This splitting out and sub-specializing
of staff roles has been great for the doctors, and
the team loves it too.
Are you currently certified by the American Board
of Orthodontics (ABO)?
Not at this time.
Are you involved in any professional or nonprofessional community service in your area and
if so, which one(s)?
I am the president elect of the Northern Arizona
Dental Society and I will be the 2018 president of
the Northern Arizona Network for Dental Excellence. I am a member of the AAO, PSCO, and AZDA.
