New and Younger Members
What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, I would like to stay in Alberta or
British Columbia and become an associate practitioner in an established orthodontic practice. My
long-term goal is to join a practice that gives me
the opportunity to partner or buy in. Eventually,
I would also like to become a part-time clinical
instructor.
Are you involved in any activities with the PCSO
or AAO?
I attended the AAO conferences in 2013 and 2017
and presented one of my research projects. This
year I will also have the opportunity to attend the
conference and participate in the table clinics.

What benefits do you enjoy from PCSO?
PCSO is a very useful resource. It allows residents
to connect with other professionals in the field
and helps them to broaden their orthodontic
horizons through its conferences and the PCSO
Bulletin.
Tell us about your family and personal interests.
I am the youngest of three siblings. Most of my
family lives in Peru. They have supported me
throughout this long educational process. I met
my husband during the first year of dental
school, and we have been together ever since. He
has helped me tremendously during residency
and has motivated me to keep moving forward to
reach my goals. We are a great team! We love
traveling, cooking, and watching movies.
