SUMMER CONFERENCE
MATCHING GRANT SUCCESS
Many members will remember the
great success of 2015's $40,000
matching grant, in which one longtime
BPFNA ~ Bautistas por la Paz member
matched new and increased gifts
throughout the year.
Based on that success, we created a
different matching grant for 2016-a
group of donors agreed to come
together to match all the gifts made to
the offerings at Summer Conference.

The	BPFNA	~	Bautistas	por	la	Paz	
Partner	Congregation	Program:
* Encourages strategic alliances for
mission between local churches and other
peacemakers, and
* Offers resources and networking
for congregations that would otherwise
be isolated in a violent
and materialistic world.

Thirteen individuals or families
accepted the invitation to contribute
to the match and conference attendees
responded in a big way. We budgeted
with the hope that we would get $5,000
in pledged matches and then $5,000 in
offerings for a total of $10,000.
Instead, excitement built throughout
the week, and we got a total of
$7,525.77 in offerings-along with
pledges to match every penny. So
our total was $15,051.54!
In 2014, the offering total was
$3,250.24. With the generous matching
pledges, we raised over four times
more than last year. Everyone who
gave knows that whether they were able
to contribute $5 or $500, the impact of
their gift was DOUbLED.
These gifts will go a long way in our efforts
toward god's dream in creation, peace.
