Now What Do We Do?

Holy One, in the face of trauma that feels overwhelming, we have heard Your call to justice. In the
face of walls that seem to obstruct access to hope, we have heard Your call to grace. In the face of
conflict born out of anger and fear, we have heard Your call to peace. But we often find ourselves
asking...."Now what?" Now what do we do, now what do we say, now where do we go?
When our hearts are broken open by what we see in our world, we
often wonder where to start. We are grateful, today, for this place
to start. We are grateful today, for these others to walk with.
And as we prepare to go out from this place, we are grateful to
join in the work of Your Kindom. May we be sustained by this
community, and may we find hope in the knowledge of who
You are, and how You call.
As we strive to be people of Your peace, may those moments
when we ask, "Now what?" be met by the courage to seek
You out, and to be where You are. May we see the least of
these. May we know them. May we stand with them. Show
us every day, Oh God, what it means to be co-creators in
Your Kindom. Amen.
