include four different static heads - small, standard,

Dallas Avionics today offers a wide
range of solutions for operators and installers alike . During the 2016 AEA Convention, the
company's regional sales director, Scott Edwards, told attendees Dallas Avionics has entered into sole distribution
of all NavWorx ADS-B products . According to Edwards,
NavWorx is the leader in affordable ADS-B solutions for
both certified and experimental aircraft.
Edwards also introduced the NavWorx ADS600-B, a
fully 2020-compliant ADS-B Out solution with a list price
of $1,999 . The NavWorx ADS600-B is a TSO'd and STC'd
solution, according to Edwards, which also features an internal WAAS GPS receiver for installation ease . It's a 978
UAT-based device, which interfaces with Garmin GNS/
GTN WAAS GPS navigators to eliminate the need for an
external GPS antenna. It can provide ADS-B In's traffic
and weather information to up to three wired devices for
simultaneous display . An optional Wi-Fi adapter also is
The ADS600-B supports a variety of panel-mounted
EFIS/MFDs and portable displays . Standard features include an RS232 channel for an external altitude encoder,
RS232 and RS422 interfaces for display devices, and a
secure slide-lock attachment for the DB37 system connector .
The ADS600-B, meanwhile, is designed for remote
installation . It can use any Mode C or Mode S transponder
already in the aircraft, as well as an existing altitude encoder. A model configured with an ARINC display option
also is available . The ADS600-B has achieved FAA STC/
AML status aboard most GA aircraft .

The "latest and greatest in-flight entertainment
technology" is how Reed MacDonald, chief executive
officer of Flight Display Systems, or FDS, described his
company's product line . Flight Display Systems designs
and manufactures technologies enabling easy control of
the cabin environment, allowing passengers and crew to
collaborate and share information in a simple, intuitive
way . Instead of what the company calls a "cookie-cutter
solution," it said each product is customized for the aircraft
into which it's installed .
