company offers a wide range of equipment and tooling
for ramp and bench testing, plus pre-sale and post-sale
technical support, training, repair and calibration management, and asset management and tracking. Abbie
Riffe briefed attendees on her
company's latest
innovation, a new
service designed to
provide ongoing support, plus a maintenance and protection plan for the kinds of equipment AvionTEq trades in.
The service, dubbed TEqSupport, is the first comprehensive test equipment maintenance and protection
plan in the industry, according to the company, and was
developed in response to customer requests for an integrated support, maintenance and protection plan. It's
built around a one-year warranty on new and refurbished
equipment purchased from AvionTEq. During that year,
free loaner equipment is available during recalibration
and repairs covered by the warranty. Free shipping to
and from the company's facilities is included, along with
free technical support for the purchased equipment. The
plan includes one free recalibration each year. All documents needed to operate the equipment and comply with
FAA requirements are supplied on digital media.
The plan also includes a free subscription to the company's MyTEq online test equipment management tool.
Subscribers can use MyTEq from anywhere in the world
with a computer or smartphone, and access the information and documents used in operating the test equipment.

BendixKing
New solutions for specific aircraft needing to meet the
looming Jan. 1, 2020, ADS-B deadline were announced
by BendixKing during the AEA Convention. One solution
is for Cessna Model 525/525A CitationJets and Bravo
550 aircraft equipped with BendixKing's CNI 5000 communication, navigation and identification integrated avionics system. The upgrade provides "a quick, affordable
and easy" path to compliance with the ADS-B mandate,
according to the company.
The upgrade is a direct replacement for the CNI 5000
in the three Cessna models. It's designed to be an easy
installation - cutting is not required, and the company
advertises a less than four-hour turnaround under many
circumstances. The retrofit replaces existing KT 70 transponders with new KT 74 Mode S-capable units. The up-

grade also is available
with optional ADS-B
weather and traffic data
delivered wirelessly to
the cockpit for tabletbased electronic flight
bags.
Another ADS-B solution from BendixKing is
the MST 70B, a direct
BendixKing's CNI 5000 upgrade
slide-in replacement for
the MST 67A Mode S transponder aboard numerous business aircraft, including
those from Bombardier and LearJet, Dassault, Hawker
Beechcraft, early Gulfstreams and Cessna Citation 550,
560 and 650 models. The MST 70B is an ICAO Level 3
transponder, delivering the latest functionality required
for ACAS II mandate compliance; European elementary
surveillance and Enhanced Mode S Surveillance, downlink of aircraft parameters and ADS-B 1090 ES extended
squitter. An AML STC (ST02609LA) has been approved
that covers most of the equipment and many of the aircraft in which the MST 67A was originally installed.
