training for multiple aviation-industry roles, including flight
and cabin crews, CRM assessment, ground operations
and dangerous goods. The company's stated goals include
enhancing flight safety through advanced crew training and
urging active trainee involvement in the classroom.
A mission statement on the company's website for its
new MAYDAY concept notes, " We have developed several
training tools to make classroom training more interesting
and motivating for both the students and the instructors.
We believe in classroom training as the best way to provide
ground training for flight crew and cabin crew. However,
the training has to be of high quality in order to motivate
the crew. To help with that, we have developed several
tools to facilitate
better learning and
enhance the learning
environment.
" All our tools are
AEROTEAM
Training Solutions
EASA compliant, where applicable, and we are updating
our tools if necessary due to changes in the regulation.
We strive to deliver the best tools available for classroom
training, and we are constantly in the process of developing
new tools and updating existing training tools. "
Agner told AEA Convention attendees, " We create simple
simulations of complex situations, where (trainees) can
learn about the real world without the cost of consequences.
Active learning is the link between the classroom and the
real world. MAYDAY is the concept that's the key to active
learning. It will display the time, the cost and the risk of your
decisions and corroborate with human factors impact and
introduce best practices. "

Aircraft Lighting International
Aircraft Lighting International has been providing
solutions for GA and business aircraft since 1998, and
" in those early years, it was a little bit difficult to get those
LEDs onto aircraft, " Shervin Rezaie told AEA Convention
attendees. " But these days, everybody wants LEDs, and
that's for a good reason. We all have them in our homes,
in our cars, and the benefits of LED solutions are amplified
in aviation.
" First off, you got no glass, so you're eliminating the
breakage issue, and you have solid-state construction that
leads to a more durable product, with a longer lifespan
and, most importantly, greater light output. Aircraft Lighting
International
specializes in
self-ballasted
LED systems
that allow
you to
bypass the
high-voltage and
often dangerous
ballasts. "
Aircraft Lighting International's
replacement LEDs are
interchangeable with existing 12 mm
fluorescent lamps using an adapter.
Discussing
his company's
flagship product,
he said, " We're
getting rid of
those bi-pin
fluorescent
tubes, and
bypassing them,
having all the same benefits of our existing self-ballasted
LEDs, with one extra benefit, which is the built-in dimming.
So you can keep your existing controls and, just through
the use of an adapter, upgrade your entire aircraft to
LED. "
Rezaie played a video for attendees, demonstrating the
new LED light source's plug-and-play capability: Unplug
the fluorescent tubes' ballast and plug in the adapter.
Dimming and other features were immediately available.
According to the company, all of Aircraft Lighting
International's replacement LEDs are 100%
interchangeable with existing 12 mm fluorescent lamps
and require no rewiring, no new lamp holders, no new
connectors, no new dimmers and no new controllers.

Airtext
As its name implies, Airtext is in the business of providing
communications links to an airborne aircraft, allowing
passengers and crew to stay connected electronically with
business, friends and family contacts " without the high cost
of a traditional internet option, " according to the company's
website.
Jonathan Pinson,
general manager
at Airtext, told
AEA Convention
attendees, " Our
