Cabin Management Solutions
" Last year at AEA, we introduced you to Evolve, our
retrofit cabin management solution for the business
aviation market, for audio, video and cabin control, "
David Feuerhak, vice president of sales for Cabin
Management Solutions, told attendees. " To date,
Evolve is installed and flying on four aircraft. The
main differentiator between our system and those of
the competition is our communication backbone. Our
patented wireless technology allows for flexibility and
time savings for installers. Simply put, our Evolve
system places control where you need it and allows for
reduced complexity and downtime.
" In keeping with our history of adapting and
evolving to the needs of the industry, CMS presents
our HD series of flush-mount monitors that are ready
for your project. And they come with full PMA (parts
manufacturing approval).
" There are six monitors, in various sizes. Our lineup
starts with a 10.1- and goes on to a 15.6-, 19-, 22-, 24and
32-inch monitor. The Evolve wireless technology is
embedded in each of the monitors, so it's fully capable " of
later integration into the Evolve ecosystem. " Each monitor,
24-inch and below, includes a touchscreen interface for
configurable control of cabin management. Each monitor
also includes two composite, two SDI (serial digital interface)
and one HDMI inputs. "
Also part of the company's presentation in 2021 was an
updated audio/video distribution box, Feuerhak related. " This
year, we've added an additional four SDI outputs, for a total
of eight, and we have 12 audio inputs, and 16 audio
outputs, each with individual volume control. "
In closing, he shared one more

process of working on

Explore, which will be
available in Q4 of

Carlisle Interconnect Technologies
Carlisle Interconnect Technologies designs and
manufactures high-performance wire and cable,

single-port Ethernet connector for commercial aviation
applications to the AEA Convention. CarlisleIT said its
latest offering is " newly designed for commercial aviation
applications " and features a die-cast, electrolessprocess
nickel-plated aluminum shell. It is optimized
for use with all CarlisleIT Gigabit series cables and is
field-terminable.
Other features and benefits include an altitude
capability up to 50,000 feet, a durable latching system,
plus toolless EMI banding. The connector features
industry-standard M39029 crimp contacts compatible
with both 26 and 24 AWG conductors. CarlisleIT's
in-house certification team is able to generate the
appropriate reports and documentation required to
ensure compliance with FAA and aerospace industry
airworthiness standards.
