Texas Aerospace Technologies
Abilene-based Texas Aerospace Technologies, a
subsidiary of Texas Aerospace Services, announced
the launch of its TXA201 Tri-Axial Accelerometer.
The new TXA201 utilizes next-generation MEMS
technologies - micro-electromechanical systems, tiny
integrated devices combining mechanical and electrical
components - to convert gravitational and inertial
forces into DC voltage output for each of the three
axis requirements (lateral, longitudinal and vertical) for
incorporation into flight data recorders and flight data
acquisition units.
The TXA201 is designed as a plug-and-play solution
meeting the ARINC 542A form factor standard and
having a pin-for-pin connector compatible with similar
devices, making installation easy. The TXA201 is
designed to meet
EUROCAE ED-112A
standards and will be
certified to the latest
TSO-C124c and rigorous
DO-160G standards. The
TSO certification was
expected in June 2022,
with units available to ship
soon afterward.

CRT to LCD.

the conversion from CRT to a modern LCD, breathing

" With our ISO Class 5-certified clean room, we can
laminate and assemble LCD glass with the highest
Swiss-made precision, to deliver a superior product
to our customers. When Thommen takes on one of
these CRT-to-LCD upgrades, our focus is on solving
all of the obsolescence problems the unit is facing,
not just replacing the CRT. Through various wins,
we have refined this process and include new power
supplies, modern video processors, analog-to-digital
converters and various other components that may need
modernizing.
