AEA Board of Directors:
Mike Minchow

embers of the Aircraft Electronics Association recently elected
Mike Minchow to serve on its board of directors. He has
more than two decades of aviation experience, all of it spent
at Duncan Aviation helping customers modify their aircraft in one way or
another.
Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, Duncan Aviation is the largest family-owned
maintenance, repair and overhaul organization in North America. It
provides comprehensive aviation services, including avionics installation
and repair, paint, interior modifications, airframe maintenance, and
engine/APU repair and overhaul.
Today, Minchow wears several hats at the company. He manages the
interior modification sales and design team, as well as the fractional
program, and oversees avionics sales.
"Since joining Duncan more than 21 years ago, I have developed
a passion for business and general aviation, as well as a better
understanding of how business aviation is not just a timesaving tool, but
also a valuable productivity tool that companies can utilize to help drive
business, today and well into the future," Minchow said.
"Even though my college education was not centered on aviation, I
have been around aviation since my childhood. My father was in the Air
Force during the Vietnam War as an F-100/F-111 airframe mechanic, and
my uncle was a captain for Frontier Airlines and retired after 25 years of
service."
Minchow regularly attends the annual AEA International Convention
and Trade Show, and has served on Aircell's (now Gogo Business Aviation)
dealer advisory board since 2013. Minchow will serve a three-year term,
from April 2014 to April 2017, on the AEA's board of directors. Recently, he
answered a few questions to help members learn more about him.
