CHAPTER UPDATES University of Pittsburgh - Beta Delta Chapter On Saturday, March 25, 2017, the University of Pittsburgh Beta Delta chapter of IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu held their annual Hands On Science event. The Eta Kappa Nu volunteers mentored 19 high school students on building miniature traffic lights using integrated circuits on breadboards. The high school students, most of whom had never seen a breadboard, learned the basics of using oscilloscopes and wiring resistors and capacitors, and they successfully completed the project in one afternoon! If you are interested in volunteering with the University of Pittsburgh chapter of IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu for this and/ or other mentoring events, please email us at pitt.ieee. hkn@gmail.com . The high school students represented 12 schools in the Greater Pittsburgh Area and are part of the University of Pittsburgh's Excel and Investing Now programs.
