to the management of your publication.
Just as you manage the activity and
work product of your editors and other
staff, you must also do the same for your
printing partner. Regular calls to your
customer service representative will
provide insight on any potential production issues that may arise. Have you been

More often than not, though, online
proofing is acceptable. This soft-proofing
method is often through your web browser
on your printer's prepress workflow software. It is a proofing system that will save
you time and money. However, if you have
special concerns, make sure to work these
out in advance with your printer's customer
service, prepress, and production teams.
