ALLEN PRESS HONORED WITH 14 PRINTING
AWARDS AND A PRINT EVANGELIST AWARD
Allen Press's vice president of sales,
Martine Padilla, received a Print Evangelist Award at the recent PIA MidAmerica's Graphic Excellence Competition
(GraphEx) Gala. Allen Press also collected 14 printing awards as a company.
Padilla has been a leader in the print
industry for more than 30 years, contributing to its growth and actively promoting the value and versatility of print.
"Martine is an excellent leader at our
company, and she also cares about the

printing industry as a whole," says Randy
Radosevich, CEO of Allen Press. "I'm
so pleased to see her recognized for her
contributions."
Of the 14 printing awards collected
by Allen Press, five were awarded to the
recently redesigned Arabian Horse Times.
Allen Press also collected Best Use of Ink
Kansas City and Best of Category for
Environmentally Sound Materials for
Naked Food; Best of Category in Sheetfed Magazine for Creative Quarterly; Best

of Category for Volume 84 of Orchids;
and Best of Category in Calendars for
the 2016 Ames Percherons Calendar. Mineralogical Record, Catfish Alley, PLY and
Albert Bloch: Themes and Variations earned
Awards of Excellence.
PIA MidAmerica has recognized outstanding work in the print media industry
for more than 25 years. Judges qualify
pieces based on several categories, including binding, use of paper, coating, clarity,
and smoothness. n

generous counsel, referrals, and insights.
I'm so pleased that we can honor him
and his legacy in this way and keep his
memory alive with this award. The award
is a wonderful idea and very fitting considering Mitch's contribution.

The cover of the Jan./Feb issue of Signature is just outstanding. No. It's better
than that. It is fabulous.
If you haven't seen it, find your copy.
This is an award winner if I have ever
seen one. The story about how Bates
Creative put it together is a fun read.
Maybe they could bring the mock-up to
this year's AM&P Annual Meeting and
show how true creativity blossoms at their
firm. WOW!

We have to agree - it's one of our favorite
all-time Signature covers. We have let Bates
Creative know about the request to bring the
mock-up to the Annual Meeting and satisfy
everyone's curiosity about this great cover.

For those who haven't heard, the Mitch
Mohanna Lifetime Achievement Award will
be presented during the Annual Meeting at
this year's EXCEL Awards Gala on June
27, 2016 in Washington, DC.
