ASSOCIATION CLIENTS
Sheridan reports that several of its association clients are expanding their partnerships with the organization.
The Endocrine Society has chosen
Sheridan to be its copyediting and production provider for its industry-leading
publications for practitioners, international and national scientific researchers,
government health policy legislators, and
the general public. Sheridan will help ES
deploy a workflow for its newly launched
Journal of the Endocrine Society, an openaccess journal launching this fall. Sheridan will provide copyediting, composition, electronic deliverables, and/or print
production services beginning with 2017
issues of Endocrine News, Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, Endocrine
Reviews, Endocrinology, and supplemental

article collections, meeting publications,
and educational products.
Additionally, Sheridan will provide
back-issue warehousing, web-based backissue inventory management, electronic
billing, and author reprint services.
The American Academy of Pediatrics is using Sheridan's proprietary XMLbased article workflow for Pediatrics, its
official journal and the world's leading
pediatrics resource. The monthly peerreviewed publication is the most cited
journal in the field and among the top
100 most-cited journals in all of science
and medicine. It has been continuously
published by the AAP since 1948.
Sheridan's new patent-pending workflow for STM publishers, Article Express,
replaces the traditional PDF-based article

proof with a fully editable, browser-based,
HTML proofing environment. In this
new workflow, authors, editors, and publishers can easily review and directly edit
article content in a browser application
while still maintaining the structure of
the underlying XML.
And finally, SAGE Publishing - the
world's fifth-largest journals publisher
in the humanities, socials services, and
STM disciplnes - will use Sheridan
as its primary production and publication management service. SAGE will be
using ArticleExpress as well as Sheridan's custom journal support services,
including Library of Congress issues
copyright filing; back-issues fulfillment
and warehouse services; returns processing; co-mailing; subscriber services;
commercial article reprints and e-prints;
and offset (sheet fed and web), digital
toner, digital inkjet, and print-on-demand platforms. n
