Mademoiselle Chantelle An exclusive pattern by Mary Ann Shandor T his pattern is designed to fit "Mademoiselle Chantelle," a 15-inch reproduction Barrois on the 12 ½ -inch Dollspart Jointed Body. I was fortunate to own a beautiful antique blouse from which I removed the hand-worked embroidery to create this striking, fashionable 1870's-style ensemble. I constructed a similar dress made with current-day Swiss embroideries and hand-worked feather stitching featured on the cover of this magazine. The versatility of this pattern is limited only by your imagination and creativity. This dress is primarily hand-stitched and both novice and expert seamstress will find it is not difficult to make. I hope you will enjoy using my pattern while making this 1870's-style of dress for a "Mademoiselle Chantelle" of your own. I would like to express my appreciation to Darlene Lane and Dollspart Supply Company, for the honor and their trust in me to re-create the 1870's-style dress pattern that follows.
