Tom Tierney was among the numerous paper doll artists who created paper dolls of Princess Diana. was believed to be intended as a First Wedding Anniversary gift. Mrs. Brennan shared a great deal of information with her clients about the sculpting of the doll and the painstaking process of dressing the doll. As well as adult dolls, there are "little girl" versions and even teddy bears. There was a wide variety of patterns that one could sew or crochet replicas of Diana's fabulous wardrobe, including her beautiful wedding gown. There were also numerous and often beautifully designed paper doll collections featuring the Princess of Wales. Collecting dolls in the likeness of Diana, Princess of Wales is way of cherishing her memory. Although the princess had expressed a great concern for many worthy causes, she made a genuine difference with two special campaigns - she embraced the sufferers of H.I.V. and she brought attention to the plight of the victims of landmines.
