Rejection hurts.
The rejection letter from Forbes.com was a slap to the face-the
usual two or three blunt sentences made all the more stinging because the editor had commissioned us to write the piece.
We had been on a roll. Our modest PR program had interviewed
a bunch of ASAP members to create a data-rich messaging platform. We crafted a boatload of PR pitches to help ASAP tell the
