The K✡R 102 model, is the only doll in the series with molded bisque hair. A very rare prototype model of the 102, is not in bisque but in the manner of the Munich Art dolls. 14 FALL 2017 heads. Historically he achieved his desired recognition as a serious artist with his works on view in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the National Gallery in East Berlin and numerous other institutions. It has been conjectured that he did go on to subsequently create the original molds for most of the other dolls in the highly acclaimed 100 series by K✡R with some notable exceptions. There is no doubt that his 100 sculpt was the impetus to make a whole series of expressive child heads. The character dolls manufactured by K✡R adapted contemporary manufacturing methods used to create the "dolly-face" dolls. The use of bisque enhanced the realistic appearance of the character doll in comparison to K✡R's competitors Käthe Kruse and Marion Kaulitz.
