treats after
their trip to
"Wonderland."

embers of the Olentangy Valley
Doll Club of Columbus, Ohio,
took a trip into "Wonderland" at their
meeting on Wednesday, May 24, 2017.
Patti Fertel, longtime and nationally
renowned paper doll collector
presented an enchanting program
entitled, "Alice in Wonderland"
sharing paper dolls, along with some
history of Lewis Carroll, the author
of the original story book, and other
"Alice" memorabilia. Patti, along with
other members, shared their "Alice"
character dolls dating from early
composition and the earliest paper
dolls made. Many additional "Alice"
dolls created throughout the years
and into the present were also shared.
Attendees were enchanted with
the wealth of knowledge that Patti
provided while drinking their cup
of tea during Mad Hatters Tea Party.
After the program, members enjoyed
an array of tea party treats provided
by Pat Liles and Vicki Stratton.
And, as for most doll collectors,
it is fitting to take a quote from Alice
and the Mad Hatter - "Have I gone
Mad? I'm afraid so. You're entirely
bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the
best people are."

Ruth Ann Dunn, longtime
Madame Alexander collector,
shared one of her "Alice in
Wonderland" dolls.

Roberta Hamper
brought an "Alice"
from the 1950s.

Patti Fertel presented
an enchanting program
entitled, "Alice in
Wonderland" sharing
paper dolls and other
"Alice" memorabilia.
